How a gift works.

    You choose

    How long, a card design, their name and a few words. You pay once, here on the website.

  2. 2

    It arrives

    By email on the day you pick, as a link you send yourself, as a card you print at home, or as a printed card by post.

    They claim it

    The link or the QR code opens Kata. They sign in or make an account, and the months land on it.

One payment, nothing renews. The months begin when the gift is claimed, or after a plan they already have. Valid for three years. Paid securely through Stripe. Prices include VAT where it applies.

Good to know.

Does the person need Kata already?

No. When they open the gift they sign in, or make a Kata account in a minute. If they already use Kata, the months land on the account they have.

When do the months start?

When nothing else covers Kata Plus. During a trial or a plan they already pay for, the gift months wait and begin when it ends. Kata never cancels anything for them.

Does anything renew?

No. A gift is one payment. Nothing renews and nobody is charged again.

Can I change my mind?

Yes. Within fourteen days of buying, as long as the gift has not been claimed, write to contact@yourkata.com with the link from your receipt and we will refund it in full. The code then stops working.

How long can they wait to claim it?

Three years from the day you buy it. The date is on the card.

How does the card by post work?

For gifts of 3 months or more, we print your card with its QR code and your words on heavy paper and post it, to them or to you, at no extra cost. You will hear from us when it is on its way.

Who reads my note?

Only the person who opens the gift: on the claim page, in their email and on the printed card. Kata keeps it for that and nothing else. You only ever see that the gift was claimed, and when.

Does it work in the iPhone and Android apps?

Yes. A gift is claimed in Kata on the web, and the months then show on the same account in the iPhone, Apple Watch and Android apps.
